1. General

This patch can be installed only after the installation of dSPACE RCP&HIL Release 7.4



2. New Features
----------------------------------------------------------------------

ModelDesk supports the new VEOS platform. When using the VEOS platform, you can download,
start, stop, and pause offline simulations directly from the experimentation environment.
The VEOS platform can basically be accessed in the same way as dSPACE real-time systems.



3. Problems Fixed by This Patch
----------------------------------------------------------------------

236858 During experiment migration, the SCALEXIO IP address is lost.
237904 Multi-instance: Processing-only parameters do not get synchronized.
239639 ModelDesk plotting stops with an unexpected data acquisition error.
239938 The preferred MATLAB version cannot be opened if another MATLAB version is open.
243120 Under certain circumstances, parameter files containing aliases cannot be saved under a different file name.
243506 The synchronization dialog of the multi-instance feature must not be displayed any more.
245318 Wrong tooltips in the Choose a Model dialog
249265 EngineDiesel.compressor.Sw_omega_TC_Conv is always set to 1.
263504 Mixed bag of structurally different parameter sets in a single experiment may break the migration.
262585 Generating ini files does not work properly.
264761 Some operations may fail for parameter sets containing a dot in their names.

The patch fixes the problems described above.



4. Limitations and Workaround
----------------------------------------------------------------------

VEOS support:
When an ASM model is built with DsOffSim, it generates the following
files:
   <AsmModelName>.osa    <- offline simulation application
   <AsmModelName>.sdf    <- system description file
   <AsmModelName>.xml    <- model structure file
   <AsmModelName>.trc    <- variable description
ModelDesk expects that the model structure file (*.xml) has the same
name as the system description file (*.sdf).
To connect an ASM model with virtual ECUs, you may want to import an
existing ASM environment model into another simulation system (*.osa)
using the 'Import Vpu' function of VEOS Player. In this case, you
have to copy <AsmModelName>.xml manually from the source directory to
the target directory, where the new simulation system is stored, and
give it the same name as the target simulation system. The target folder
should contain the following files:
   <TargetSystemName>.osa
   <TargetSystemName>.sdf
   <TargetSystemName>.xml  <- manually copied from <AsmModelName>.xml
   <AsmModelName>.trc
    ...
This problem concerns only the model structure file for ModelDesk.
All other files are managed automatically by the ‘Import Vpu’
function of VEOS Player.



5. Installing the Patch
----------------------------------------------------------------------

To install the patch, you must be logged on with administrator rights.

Ensure that the active installation referenced by %DSPACE_ROOT% is dSPACE Release 7.4.

To install this update, simply run DS_ModelDesk26P4_p4_268734.exe.
The setup will automatically locate and patch the active dSPACE installation.
